Missouri Railroad Safety Crossing Plan

Transportation Partners:

Today is an exciting day for railroad safety in Missouri.  Federal and State officials gathered in Jefferson City to announce the plan for improving rail safety at Missouri’s Highway/Railroad at-grade crossings across the state.  With the General Assembly’s passage of House Bill 4 and Governor Parson’s signature, MoDOT received additional funding to help accelerate safety improvements.   One program we are launching today is specifically designed to help your community improve signing at your railroad crossings by updating your railroad advance warning signs to meet the latest standards.  We have developed the following website to help you get started. Missouri Railroad Safety Crossing Plan | Missouri Department of Transportation (modot.org).
