Emergency Closure of Missouri Route 6 Bridge over U.S. Route 24/61 Near Taylor

HANNIBAL – The Missouri Route 6 bridge over U.S. Route 24/61 closed after being hit earlier today, causing damage to the exterior girders of the structure. The bridge will remain closed until further evaluation can be completed next week.

No access will be available to MO 6 from eastbound U.S. 24/61 at the interchange and the eastbound off-ramp is closed at this location. Please seek alternate routes. All other ramps remain open.

Work with us in the work zone!  Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel.  With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to  pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone.  Be informed of your route by checking the MoDOT Traveler Information Map before you leave to see if you will encounter any work zones or traffic impacts.
