St. Louis Work Zones July 27-August 2

ST. LOUIS – Drivers heading to the hospitals near I-64 and Ballas Road in St. Louis County should allow themselves extra time starting next week.

Crews will close the ramp from eastbound I-64 to Ballas (Exit 26) July 30 at midnight for two months. During the closure, crews will be rehabilitating the ramp bridge as part of continuing on-going maintenance around the interchange.

All work is weather permitting. The ramp will remain closed until October.

To detour around the closure, drivers should remain on eastbound I-64 until Spoede (Exit 27).  They can cross over the interstate and return westbound to exit at Ballas (Exit 26).

The ramp from northbound and southbound I-270 to Ballas Road will remain open, although it will continue to be narrowed to one lane through until September.

Drivers who use Interstate 44 near I-270 in St. Louis County should be allow extra time or consider alternate routes to avoid ramp closures this weekend.

Weather permitting, crews will close the ramp from westbound I-44 to southbound I-270 (Exit 276) Friday, July 28 at 8 p.m. for continuing bridge preventative maintenance. The ramp to northbound I-270 will remain open.

The ramp will reopen Monday, July 31 by 5 a.m.

To detour around the ramp closure, drivers can continue westbound of I-44 and take the ramp to North Highway Drive (Exit 275), cross the interstate at Mraz, follow South Highway Drive to eastbound I-44 and take the exit (Exit 276) for southbound I-270.
