ST. LOUIS – Drivers heading to the hospitals near I-64 and Ballas Road in St. Louis County should allow themselves extra time starting next week.
Crews will close the ramp from eastbound I-64 to Ballas (Exit 26) July 30 at midnight for two months. During the closure, crews will be rehabilitating the ramp bridge as part of continuing on-going maintenance around the interchange.
All work is weather permitting. The ramp will remain closed until October.
To detour around the closure, drivers should remain on eastbound I-64 until Spoede (Exit 27). They can cross over the interstate and return westbound to exit at Ballas (Exit 26).
The ramp from northbound and southbound I-270 to Ballas Road will remain open, although it will continue to be narrowed to one lane through until September.
