MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Nighttime Lane Closures on U.S. Route 65 Over Sunshine Street

In Springfield Beginning July 28

Where: Nighttime right and center lane Closures on U.S. Route 65 over Sunshine Street in Springfield

When: 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. Friday-Monday, beginning July 28 for up to 3 weekends

What: Contractor crews cleaning and sealing the bridge deck/driving surfaces on the U.S. Route 65. The work is a preventative maintenance measure aimed at extending the life of the bridge.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Nighttime right and center lane Closures in both directions of U.S. Route 65 over Sunshine Street in Springfield
  • Route 65 Open
  • Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
