TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane/Ramp closures scheduled for portion of I-29 and I-435 beginning July 21

PLATTE COUNTY – Crews will complete paving work which will require various lane/ramp closures from I-29 northbound to I-435 southbound from approximately Friday, July 21st until Tuesday, July 25th. There could be delays in the area. All work is weather permitting and subject to change. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes if needed.

 Friday, July 21

The following work will take place from approximately 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.

•  Crews will close the northbound lane from 120th street to the I-435 north to the I-29 north ramp
•  The ramp from I-435 north to the I-29 north will also be closed

o   Traffic can access I-29 north via the Mexico City Ave. exit

Saturday, July 22

The following work will take place from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

• Crews will close the northbound lane from 120th street to the I-29 south to I-435 south ramp
• The ramp from I-29 south to I-435 south will also be closed
• The ramp from I-435 north to I-29 north will be closed
• Traffic can access I-435 north via the Mexico City Ave. exit

 The following work will take place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.

• Crews will close the southbound lane from Farley-Hampton to the following ramps, which will also be closed
• I-435 south to Route 152 will also be closed
• Route 152 east to I-435 south will also be closed
• Route 152 west to I-435 south will also be closed

Sunday, July 23

The following work will take place from approximately 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

• Crews will close the southbound lane from MO 152 to MO 45 to the following ramps, which will also be closed
• I-435 south to MO 45 will also be closed
• MO 45 to I-435 south will also be closed

The following work will take place from approximately 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., which will also be closed.

• The northbound lane from MO 152 to MO Route 45
• I-435 north to MO 45
• MO 45 to I-435 north

Monday, July 24

The following work will take place from approximately 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

• Crews will close the northbound lane at MO 152 to Farley-Hampton
• The ramp from I -435 north and MO 152 will also be closed
• The ramp from MO 152 to I-435 north will also be closed

 The following work will take place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.

• Crew will close the northbound lane from Farley-Hampton to near 120th street
• I-435 north to 120th street will also be closed
• I20th street to I-435 north will also be closed

Tuesday, July 25

• Crews will close the northbound lane from 120th street to the I-435 north to I-29 south ramp.
• The ramp from I-435 north to the I-29 south will also be closed.
• I -29 south can be accessed via MO 92 exit 

 Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
