JACKSON AND CASS COUNTIES – Crews will complete pavement repair work on Interstate 49 in Jackson and Cass Counties requiring the following evening and overnight lane and ramp closures, July 17-21.
The following closures will be in place from approximately 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on the dates listed below:
Monday, July 17
- Crews will close two lanes of traffic on southbound I-49 from 140th street to 155th street
Tuesday, July 18
- Crews will close two lanes of traffic on southbound I-49 from 140th street to 155th street
- The ramp from MO Route 150 to southbound I-49 will also be closed
Wednesday, July 19
- Crews will close one lane of traffic on southbound I-49 at the South Grand River.
- Crews will close one lane of traffic on southbound I-49 at MO Route 291
Thursday, July 20
- Crews will close the ramp from southbound I-49 to MO Route 2
Friday, July 21 – Saturday July, 22
- Crews will close the ramp from northbound I-49 to Commercial Street (7 p.m., July 21 until 6 a.m., July 22)
All work is weather permitting. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
