LAFAYETTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting resurfacing operations on outer roads within I-70. This will be a pilot car operation and the routes will remain open. The following traffic changes will be made from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. There could be delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.
Thursday, July 27
- North Outer Road from Missouri Route H to Missouri Route 13.
Friday, July 28
- South Outer Road (Old Hwy. 40) from Johnson Drive in Odessa to Missouri Route 13.
Thursday, August 10
- South Outer Road (Old 40 Hwy.) from Concordia City Limits to Missouri Route Y in Emma.
Monday, August 14
- South Outer Road/1st Street (Old Hwy. 40) from Runge Road (west of Concordia) to Concordia east City Limits.
Friday, August 18
- South Outer Road (Old Hwy. 40) from Jackson County Line to Johnson Drive in Odessa.
Tuesday, August 22
- Johnson Drive in Odessa from North Outer Road to South Outer Road.
Wednesday, August 23
- North Outer Road from end of route to Missouri Route D in Bates City.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
