ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Interstate 270 in St. Louis County should be allow extra time or consider alternate routes to avoid several ramp closures on the corridor this weekend.
Weather permitting, crews will close the ramps from southbound I-270 to eastbound I-64 (Exit 12A) and from northbound I-270 to westbound I-64 (Exit 12) for pavement repairs on the ramps. Ramps close on Friday, July 14 at 9 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, July 17 by 5 a.m. The ramp to eastbound I-64 at Exit 12 will remain open.
The detour route for the southbound I-270 to eastbound I-64 ramp will be to take westbound I-64 to Mason Road (Exit 24), cross over the interstate and head eastbound on I-64. The detour route for the northbound I-270 to westbound I-64 ramp will be to head east on I-64, exit at Spoede (Exit 27) and get back onto westbound I-64.
Additionally, crews will close the ramp from southbound I-270 to eastbound I-44 (Exit 5A) and the ramp from eastbound I-44 to Route 366 (Watson Road) (Exit 277A) for guardrail work and girder recoating on two bridges.
The ramps close on Friday, July 14 at 9 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, July 17 by 5 a.m.
The detour for the ramp closure from I-270 will be to continue south on I-270 and take the exit to Route 30 (Exit 3), cross over the interstate and head north on I-270 for eastbound I-44 (Exit 5A). The detour for the ramp closure from I-44 will be to continue east on I-44 and take the exit to Lindbergh (Exit 277B)
