SIKESTON—Route 153 in Dunklin County will be closed as contractor crews replace the bridge over Taylor Slough.
This section of roadway is located between Route 25 and Route EE near Kennett, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, July 24 with completion anticipated Friday, Dec. 1 with work taking place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
