MoDOT to shift lanes on I-44 west of Williams Road

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use I-44 between Lewis Rd. and Six Flags Rd. should be aware of traffic lanes shifting later this week.

Crews will be preparing to remove and replace the median barrier along the stretch of I-44 from Williams Road to roughly one third mile west of Central Ave.

All work is weather permitting.

Crews will close up to two lanes eastbound and westbound overnight July 6 starting at 6 p.m. to restripe lanes. Only one lane will get through each evening, Lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. the following mornings.

July 7 and July 10-12, crews will close one eastbound and westbound lane overnight to place temporary barrier wall.  The eastbound lane will be closed 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., the westbound lane will be closed 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Once the barrier has moved and the lanes shifted, crews will be removing and replacing the existing barrier wall.
