Route OO and ramps reopen after roundabout construction in Holts Summit

Additional roadwork planned

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Route OO (Simon Boulevard) and the ramps from eastbound U.S. Route 54 ramps at Route OO in Holts Summit are now open after the construction of a roundabout. Contractors from Sam Gaines Construction, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, were able to open Simon Boulevard over U.S. Route 54 and the eastbound on/off ramps at Route OO this morning, June 29. The contractor has completed the construction of a new roundabout on the east side of the U.S. Route 54/Route OO interchange, ahead of schedule after closing the roadways on Tuesday, May 30.

Some additional work is yet to be completed on the west side of the interchange, but the roadway is expected to remain open, with the work done under single-lane closures.

Construction is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
