UPDATED SCHEDULE: Additional night of work at the Niangua Branch of the Lake of the Ozarks Bridge

Route KK to close Wednesday and Thursday nights

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Bridge work along U.S. Route 54 at the Niangua Branch of the Lake of the Ozarks Bridge continues for one more night as crews wrap up the preventative maintenance treatment being applied to the bridge. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Truesdell Corporation Midwest to complete the rehabilitation of several bridges in the Lake of the Ozarks area, which includes applying an epoxy wearing surface to the Niangua Branch Bridge.

Tonight, one lane of U.S. Route 54 will remain open to traffic, each direction, but will shift between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., with a width restriction. While the work zone is active, the following restrictions will also be in place:

  • Traffic from Route D will only be able to turn right onto U.S. Route 54. No left turns from Route D onto U.S. Route 54 will be permitted.
  • West Lake Park Road will be restricted to right in/right out access. No left turns onto or from U.S. Route 54 will be permitted.

During daytime hours and through the weekend, the work zone will be removed, and no turning restrictions will be in place.

Route KK was scheduled to close tonight and tomorrow, June 27 and 28, but has been pushed back one day due to the additional night of work on the Niangua Branch Bridge. Route KK over U.S. Route 54 will be closed to all traffic between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights, June 28 and 29. The bridge will remain open during daytime hours.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
