The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center will host a webinar on FHWA’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning, Program, and Project Development Guidance on July 13, 2:30 to 4:00 pm EST. Background information and guidance on Federal legislation, policies, and reference materials related to bicycle, pedestrian, and shared micromobility programs and projects will be shared. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law expanded funding opportunities, promoted Complete Streets policies, and modified eligibility related to bicycling and walking. This guidance describes the range of opportunities to improve conditions for bicycling, walking, and shared micromobility, consistent with the Department of Transportation’s goals for a safe, accessible, comfortable, equitable, and integrated multimodal transportation network infrastructure that serves all ages and abilities.
This is an external webinar open to the public, especially for people interested in bicycle, pedestrian, and shared micromobility programs and projects. The anticipated audience includes Federal, State, MPO, and local agency staff and advocates, consultants, and researchers.
