Pavement work scheduled for portions of U.S. 24 switch to 24/7 operation on June 26

JACKSON COUNTY – Crews are in the process of milling and resurfacing work along eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 between MO Route 7 and the Lafayette County line until approximately November 2023. Beginning on Monday, June 26, this work will be conducted 24 hours a day and will require various daily lane closures along U.S. 24. Motorists may experience delays in the area. Work will pause to observe the holiday weekend beginning at noon on Friday, June 30, until approximately early morning on Wednesday, June 5. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
