Route 72 in Cape Girardeau County Impacted for Light Installation

Sikeston-Route 72 in Cape Girardeau County will have a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews work on the shoulder to install roadside lighting.  Weather permitting, work will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Work will be in place at the following locations in Jackson, Missouri: 

  • East Lane to Daisy Avenue beginning Monday, June 26 through Monday, July 3  
  • West Main to Missouri Street beginning Monday, July 3 through Tuesday, July 11 
  • Michael Anna Street to Daisy Avenue beginning Monday, July 10 through Monday, July 17

The work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
