ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers traveling near the Interstate 70 and Route 94 interchange on June 28-29 and again on July 5-7 should consider alternate routes as the interchange will close for bridge maintenance work. All work is weather permitting.
Each evening, crews will close one lane of the interchange on the Route 94 interchange over I-70 beginning at 7 p.m. By 9 p.m., the entire interchange will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic. The interchange will reopen by 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
Eastbound Route 94 traffic can still access eastbound I-70 at the exit ramp. Westbound Route 94 traffic can still access westbound I-70.
Crews will be placing a new overlay on the bridge.
Prior to the work at the interchange, crews will work on the Hawks Nest Drive bridge over I-70 for bridge maintenance June 26-27, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting. This bridge overpass is located just west of the I-70/Route 94 interchange.
The work is part of the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project.
