ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Drivers in both directions of Interstate 70 at Cave Springs Road should expect higher levels of congestion and delays starting at 10 p.m. Friday, June 23 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 25. Crews will be closing all lanes of I-70 at Cave Springs Road to demolish the old bridge. Northbound and southbound traffic on Cave Springs Road will be closed between West Clay and Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Traffic in both directions of I-70 will be routed through the ramps. All work is weather permitting.
The Cave Springs and Zumbehl interchanges are being converted into single point urban interchanges (SPUI) for the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project. As construction on this project progresses, both interchanges will remain open to drivers.
