Pavement Sealing Planned for Routes in Seven Southwest Missouri Counties Starting Week of June 20

Southwest District – State routes in seven (7) southwest Missouri counties are scheduled to be sealed with a mixture of rock and oil beginning the week of June 20, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Here’s a look at the locations where MoDOT crews will be working:

  • Webster County – Route EE between Missouri Route 38 and Route W
  • Dallas County -- Route PP between Montgomery Road and Missouri Route 73
  • Polk County – Route AC between Route HH and South 230th Road
  • Polk County – Route HH between Route AC and Missouri Route 64
  • Polk County – Route TT between 310th Road and Missouri Route 64
  • Polk County – Route J between 395th Road and Missouri Route 32 in Halfway
  • Polk County – Route WW between 57th Road and Route T
  • Polk County – Route VV between 455th Road and Missouri Route 123
  • Cedar County – Route Z between County Road 825 and Missouri Route 39
  • Clair County – Route W between Cedar/St. Clair county line and Route J
  • Clair/Cedar County – Route DD between Missouri Route 82 and U.S. route 54
  • Barton/Dade County – Route E between U.S. Route 160 and Route D
  • Dade County – Route N between U.S. Route 160 and Route A
  • Dade County – Route W between County Road 52 and Missouri Route 245 in Dadeville
  • Dade County – Route RA between Cedar Ridge Road and Missouri Route 245

Drivers also can expect flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zone. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone.

Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.

A seal coat is not an alternative to an asphalt overlay, but is planned for these roads as an economical way to maintain and preserve the roadway. The treatments keep a road from deteriorating and will extend its life.
