Seal Coat projects scheduled to begin this week

First routes scheduled in Camden and Laclede counties

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – A preventative maintenance project spanning several counties is scheduled to begin in Camden and Laclede counties this week. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded three contracts totaling $2,338,730 to Blevins Asphalt Construction Company Inc., to apply a seal coat to 12 routes in Benton, Camden, Cole, Laclede, Miller, and Morgan counties. They plan to complete the routes in the order listed below:

  • Camden/Laclede Counties: Routes 5, Y, V, E, and U.S. Highway 54 (June 12)
  • Miller/Cole Counties, July 5: Routes T, D, H, AA (July 5)
  • Camden/Morgan/Benton Counties, July 12: Routes TT, F. and P (July 12)

Work is scheduled to begin June 12 through June 16. The entire projected is expected to be completed by September 1. For the duration of the project, traffic will be reduced to one lane at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. Workers will be present during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, and a 9-foot width restriction will be in place.  All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
