MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Nighttime Traffic Slowdowns/Stops on I-44, Evergreen St and Greene Co Route OO

In Strafford Wednesday, June 21

Where: Traffic slowed and possibly stopped in Strafford at the following locations:

  • East and westbound I-44 between Mulroy Road (mm 84) and Webster County Route B (mm 96)
  • Evergreen Street between Farm Road 249 and Dewdrop Lane
  • Greene County Route OO between Farm Road 249 and Paradise Road

When: 2 a.m., Wednesday, June 21

Details: Southwest Electric Cooperative crews will remove two overhead lines that cross I-44, Evergreen Street and Route OO in Strafford. Crews will set up the work zone the night of Tuesday, June 20.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Traffic slowed and possibly stopped in Strafford for up to 10 minutes at 2 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the following locations:
    • East and westbound I-44 between Mulroy Road (mm 84) and Webster County Route B (mm 96)
    • Evergreen Street between Farm Road 249 and Dewdrop Lane
    • Greene County Route OO between Farm Road 249 and Paradise Road
  • Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers will slow traffic on I-44
  • Flaggers will slow/stop traffic on Evergreen Street and Route OO
  • Ramps and lanes will be CLOSED for safety reasons at the following locations:
    • Missouri Route 125 to eastbound I-44 ramp CLOSED
    • Southbound Missouri Route 125 left turn lane to eastbound I-44 ramp CLOSED
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
