Pulaski County Route Y bridge project to begin next week

Eastbound I-44 ramp at Exit 161 to close for the duration of project

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – A bridge rehabilitation project on Pulaski County Route Y over Interstate 44 in St. Robert will require a long-term ramp closure adjacent to the bridge. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Capital Paving & Construction, LLC, to rehabilitate the overpass. During construction, the ramp from eastbound I-44 to Route Y at Exit 161 will be closed. The ramp will close beginning Monday, June 12, and is expected to reopen in late September.

Traffic on Route Y will also be impacted during that timeframe. One lane, each direction, is expected to remain open throughout the project. Motorists are advised to pay attention to signs and traffic control devices as they approach the bridge from either direction. Delays are expected.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
