JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Bridge work along U.S. Route 54 at the Grand Glaize Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks bridge is wrapping up and two roads over U.S. Route 54 are scheduled to close this week. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Truesdell Corporation Midwest to complete the rehabilitation of several bridges in the Lake of the Ozarks area.
The contractor continues to work on the westbound Grand Glaize Bridge passing lane and plans to complete installation of the epoxy wearing surface Tuesday night, June 6. Th westbound passing lane is closed until that work is complete.
Following the completion of the Grand Glaize Bridge work, two bridges over U.S. Route 54 will close overnight. The current planned schedule of closures is as follows:
- Wednesday, June 7 – the Case Road Bridge will close from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday, June 8
- Thursday, June 8 – the Nichols Road Bridge will close from 7 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday, June 9
During these bridge closures, motorists will need to use an alternate route.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
