St. Joseph, Mo. – A project to rehabilitate the driving surface of the Blackwell Creek Bridges on U.S. Route 36 just east of Mitchell Avenue in Chillicothe is now complete. The Missouri Department of Transportation working with Capital Paving & Construction, LLC, began the project in late March 2023. Crews were able to reopen both west and eastbound U.S. Route 36 to two-lane traffic this afternoon.
