Miller County Route C to close next week

Brumley Creek bridge rehabilitation project begins Tuesday, May 30

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Miller County Route C will close to all traffic beginning Tuesday, May 30. The Brumley Creek and Mill Creek bridges on Miller County Route C were built in 1966 and the decks of both bridges are in poor condition. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with S & A Equipment & Builders, LLC for a rehabilitation project that will replace both bridge decks.

Route C will close on Tuesday, May 30, south of Barton School Road, for the Brumley Creek Bridge rehabilitation. Motorists will be directed around the closure via a signed detour on Route 42, U.S. Route 54, and Route A.

The contractor plans to reopen that section of Route C in mid-August. Crews will then immediately close the Mill Creek Bridge just south of Route 42. That bridge is expected to open in December. Drivers will utilize the same signed detour as they did during the Brumley Creek Bridge portion of the project.
