HANNIBAL - UPDATE: Weather permitting, contractor crews will be resurfacing 32 miles of Missouri Route 47 between Hawk Point and the Missouri River Bridge in Washington. As early as the week of June 19, workers will be present during daytime hours from the south end of Warrenton to the Missouri Route 94 intersection. Work between Hawk Point and Interstate 70 at Warrenton will occur 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. while work on the section of MO 47 between MO Route 94 and the Missouri River Bridge in Washington and in town of Warrenton will occur 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
The project is anticipated to be completed by early November.
Motorists can expect delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane with a width restriction of 10 feet in place where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be used to direct motorists through the work zones.
All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change. For the safety of the crews and the traveling public, we would like to remind drivers to be attentive in work zones and put down your cell phones to eliminate distractions.
The $7.4M contract, awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC last year.
Work with us in the work zone! Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel. With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone. Be informed of your route by checking the MoDOT Traveler Information Map before you leave to see if you will encounter any work zones.
