Join MoDOT on the Katy Trail to talk about the Rocheport Bridge

Saturday Superintendent Talk May 20 at 9 a.m.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Rocheport Bridge Design-Build team, including the Missouri Department of Transportation and its consultant the Lunda Team, will gather with the public on the Katy Trail this Saturday, May 20, to update the public on the project’s progress and what is coming up next.

On the third Saturday of each month, the team invites the public to join them at a location close to the bridge to discuss the current status and what travelers can expect in the immediate future. With the new bridge construction going on in the background, the public has a unique opportunity to listen to and ask questions of some of the key people involved in the project.

This month’s Saturday Superintendent Talk begins at 9 a.m. on the Katy Trail. If a member of the public needs a ride, email the team at rocheportbridge@modot.mo.gov to let them know you’re planning to attend, and they will meet you at the Rocheport trailhead.

Some of the topics the team will review are the pouring of the bridge deck, asphalt paving in the median, the completion of the westbound lanes later this summer and what impacts that will have on travelers, and the closure of Route BB coming up. There will also be an opportunity for the public to ask questions of the team about the project.
