Lane closures scheduled for work on various bridges on I-35, I-435, I-49, MO 291, and MO 350

Work will begin May 15 and continue through July 2023

CASS, CLAY AND JACKSON COUNTIES – Crews will complete bridge deck cleaning and sealing on more than 40 various bridges located on I-35, I-435, I-49, Missouri Route 291 and Missouri Route 350. Work will begin on May 15 and continue until approximately July 2023.  This work will require intermittent lane closures northbound and southbound on bridges located on I-35, I-435, I-49 and MO 291 and eastbound on MO 350. Lane closures will be short in duration (3-4 hours) and will take place during the daytime or overnight hours. One lane of traffic will always remain open.  All work is weather permitting.

These intermittent closures will also be reflected in the Traveler Information Map. The Traveler Information Map provides current traffic or driving conditions, planned road work, work zones, incidents, and other travel-related information.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
