SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace the Route 49 bridge over Branch Creek in Iron County. This bridge is located near Route BB and County Road 155 at Vulcan, Missouri.
A temporary bypass will be constructed adjacent to the existing structure to allow the roadway to remain open throughout construction.
Additional right-of-way will be necessary. Construction could begin as early as spring 2024.
