PETTIS COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting sidewalk improvements on U.S. Route 50 from Emmet Avenue to Murray Avenue in Sedalia beginning on Monday, May 22, until approximately mid-June 2023. During this time eastbound U.S. Route 50 will be reduced to one lane of traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
