TRAFFIC ALERT: Northbound I-49/Indian Creek Bridge CLOSED in McDonald Co. for Repair Starting May 11

Where: Northbound I-49 CLOSED over Indian Creek (Mile Marker 11.4) near Anderson

When: 8 a.m., Thursday, May 11 until further notice

What: Northbound I-49/Indian Creek bridge CLOSED to allow MoDOT crews to repair bridge deck/driving surface

Traffic Impacts:

  • All northbound I-49 lanes CLOSED over Indian Creek where crews are working
  • Northbound I-49 drivers directed to a signed detour using Missouri Route 76 (Exit 10), west to Missouri Route 59 (Business 71) north to I-49 (Exit 16)
  • Motor carriers traffic should seek alternate routes due to height restrictions on Missouri Route 59
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
  • Drivers should find alternate route
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
