JACKSON COUNTY – Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will make pavement repairs that will require the following traffic changes along Interstate 470 beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12. This work will require various lane and ramp closures in the area and motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
Friday, May 12
- Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12, crews will be making pavement repairs along eastbound I-470 between Hickman Mills Rd. to Raytown Rd. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. During this time, two lanes will be closed and the ramps at Blue Ridge Blvd. will be closed intermittently.
Saturday, May 13
- Beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, crews will be making pavement repairs along westbound I-470 between Hickman Mills Rd. to Raytown Rd. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. During this time, two lanes will be closed and the ramps Blue Ridge Blvd. will be closed intermittently.
Monday, May 15
- Beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 15, crews will be making pavement repairs along westbound I-470 between Hickman Mills Rd. to Raytown Rd. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. During this time, two lanes will be closed and the ramps Blue Ridge Blvd. will be closed intermittently.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
