Pavement repairs will require various lane and ramp closures in Cass County May 13-18

 

CASS COUNTY – Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will make pavement repairs that will require the following traffic changes in Cass County beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 13. This work will require various lane and ramp closures in the area and motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.

Saturday, May 13

  • Beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 13:
    • There will be a flagging operation along southbound MO Route 291 at Hubach Hill until approximately 7 p.m. Motorists should be prepared to stop.
    • There will be a flagging operation along northbound and southbound MO Route 7 at Rice Rd. until approximately 7 p.m. Motorists should be prepared to stop.
    • There will be a flagging operation along northbound MO Route 291 at MO Route P until 7 p.m. Motorists should be prepared to stop.

Tuesday, May 16 – Thursday, May 18

  • Beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, crews will CLOSE MO Route J over Interstate 49 until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning. During this time, the on and off ramps for southbound I-49 will be closed in the area. Motorists will need to seek alternate routes.
  • Beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, crews will CLOSE one lane of Route C and a flagging operation will be in place until 6 a.m. the following morning. The on and off ramps to I-49 at Route C will be closed at this time.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
