CLAY AND JACKSON COUNTIES - Crews will begin bridge rehabilitation work over Guinotte Avenue near the Missouri River. This project will require the following lane and ramp closures on Interstate 29 at 16th Avenue beginning on Monday, May 8. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.
- Crews will CLOSE one lane of southbound I-29 at 16th Avenue. This closure will begin at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, May 8 until approximately Sept. 2023.
- Crews will CLOSE the ramp from 16th Avenue to southbound I-29. This closure will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 8 until approximately Sept. 2023.
The following signed DETOUR will be in place during the duration of the closure.
- Eastbound Diamond Parkway to northbound Taney Street to westbound Armour Road/Missouri Route 210.
In addition, motorists can expect multiple lane closures of southbound I-29 between Parvin Road and Levee Road during the overnight hours of Monday, May 8.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
