Upcoming Bridge Replacement Projects in Pemiscot, Dunklin Counties

Notice of Opportunity for Public Meeting

SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to improve six bridges in Pemiscot and Dunklin Counties. The bridges to be replaced include: 

  • The Route HH bridge over Drainage Ditch 85 in Pemiscot County. This bridge is located between County Road 282 and Route 153.
  • The Route K bridge over Main Ditch 8 in Pemiscot County. This bridge is located at the intersection of Route K and County Road 217.
  • The Route O bridge over Pemiscot Bayou in Pemiscot County. This bridge is located between County Road 561 and County Road 559.
  • Three bridges on Route A in Dunklin County. The bridge over Drainage Ditch 5 is located between County Road 531 and County Road 510. The bridges over Main Drainage Ditch and Levee Ditch are located between County Road 516 and County Road 526.

Construction could begin as early as summer 2024. As construction is underway, the roadways will be closed to traffic with signed detours in place.

Maps, plans, and other information prepared by MoDOT will be available for public inspection and copying at MoDOT’s Sikeston District office, 2675 N. Main St. in Sikeston, Missouri. Any person affected by these projects may request that a public meeting be held in regard to the proposed improvements.
