SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace four bridges in New Madrid and Mississippi Counties. The bridges to be replaced include:
- The Route D bridge over Drainage Ditch 1 in New Madrid County. This bridge is located between Route W and Route JJ, west of Catron, Missouri.
- The Route E bridge over Otter Slough Ditch in New Madrid County. This bridge is located between County Road 845 and County Road 829.
- The Route D bridge over a Drainage Ditch 1 in New Madrid County. This bridge is located at the intersection of Route W/Route D and County Road 519 in Catron, Missouri.
- The Route 75 bridge over Drain Ditch 14 in Mississippi County. This bridge is located between Route 105 and County Road 343 at Anniston, Missouri.
Construction could begin as early as spring 2024. As construction is underway, the roadways will be closed to traffic with signed detours in place.
Maps, plans, and other information prepared by MoDOT will be available for public inspection and copying at MoDOT’s Sikeston District office, 2675 N. Main St. in Sikeston, Missouri. Any person affected by these projects may request that a public meeting be held in regard to the proposed improvements.
