Beginning Monday, May 1, for Pavement Repairs
Where: Westbound I-44 lane Closures between U.S. Route 65 and Missouri Route 13/Kansas Expressway (mile markers 77-82) in Springfield
When: 8 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. Mondays -Thursdays, beginning Monday, May 1
What: Crews to repair pavement at various locations on westbound I-44. When westbound is complete, crews will continue work on eastbound I-44.
Traffic Impacts:
- Westbound I-44 lane Closures between U.S. Route 65 and Missouri Route 13/Kansas Expressway (mile markers 77-82) in Springfield
- At least one westbound I-44 lane OPEN at all times
- Eastbound I-44 Open
- Drivers will encounter flaggers directing traffic through the work zone where crews are working
- No signed detours, drivers are urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
