HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, contractor crews will begin work as early as May 1 on a resurfacing project located on Missouri Route 147, near Troy, in Lincoln County from Missouri Route 47 to the end of state maintenance. The length of the project is 2.3 miles and will be completed by early June. All work will occur during daylight hours. An 8-foot width restriction will be in place while work is being completed.
An additional resurfacing project is included in this contract, located on Missouri Route 47, from Missouri Route 79 to just east of Troy. All work on Missouri Route 47 will occur during the nighttime hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place where workers are present. This project is anticipated to be completed by early July.
Motorists can expect delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane where work is occurring. Flaggers and a pilot car will be used to direct motorists through the work zones.
All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change. For the safety of the crews and the traveling public, we would like to remind drivers to be attentive in work zones and put down your cell phones to eliminate distractions.
The $2.9M contract, awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC last year.
