RESCHEDULED: U.S. Route 63 in Maries County resurfacing project moved back one week

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The start date of a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 63 in Maries County, just south of Vienna, has been postponed one week due to weather. Contractors with N.B. West Contracting Company, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, were not able to begin work this week and now plan to start work on Monday, April 24. The project, which spans from just east of County Road 541 to just east of County Road 519, will begin with pavement and guardrail repairs.

For the duration of the project, during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, crews will close one lane of U.S. Route 63. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.

Pavement and guardrail repairs are expected to continue through mid-May, followed by paving, shoulder work and striping. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
