CLAY COUNTY – Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will be making pavement repairs throughout various portions of Clay County next week. This work will require various lane and ramp closures in the area and motorists may need to seek alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
- Thursday, April 27
- Crews will CLOSE the ramp from U.S. 69 (Vivion Road) to southbound U.S. 169 for pavement repairs beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning
- Friday, April 28
- Beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning, crews will close the following:
- The right lane of eastbound MO Route 152 will be CLOSED from approximately North Oak Trafficway to Interstate 435.
- During this time, the on ramps to MO Route 152 from MO Route 1 and N. Brighton Ave. will be closed.
- The ramp from Pleasant Valley Rd. to southbound I-35 will be CLOSED.
- During this time, the acceleration lane of I-35 will also be closed from Pleasant Valley Rd. to the Shoal Creek Bridge.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
