RESCHEDULED: Lane and ramp closures scheduled for portion of I-435 this week

PLATTE COUNTY – Crews have rescheduled their plans regarding resurfacing work which will require various daily and nightly lane and ramp closures along portions of Interstate 435 from approximately I-29 to the Kansas State Line. Work has been rescheduled to tonight, Wednesday, April 19, through approximately mid-June. Work will require the following traffic changes. All work is weather permitting and subject to change. Motorists are. advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes if needed.


Wednesday, April 19

  • Overnight crews will close the ramp from northbound I-435 to southbound I-29 beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt milling and paving.
  • Overnight crew will close the ramp from Southbound I-29 to Southbound I-435 beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt shoulder milling and paving

Thursday, April 20th

  • Overnight crews will close the ramp from Northbound I-29 to Southbound I-435 beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt shoulder milling and paving.

Friday, April 21st

  • Overnight crews will close the ramp from Northbound I-435 to Northbound I-29 beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt shoulder milling and paving.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
