Route 142 in Butler County Closed for Bridge Replacement

SIKESTON—Route 142 in Butler County will be closed as contractor crews replace the bridge over Cane Creek Ditch. 

This section of roadway is located between County Road 343 and County Road 353 near Neelyville, Missouri. 

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson's $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. 

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, May 22 with completion anticipated Thursday, Aug. 17 with work taking place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.   

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
