ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Chariton River Bridge on Chariton County Route 129, 0.5 miles south of Route O near Salisbury, is scheduled to close next week for pavement repairs at the bridge ends. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. to complete a bridge deck replacement project, which was completed in November 2022.
Crews will be closing the bridge beginning Wednesday, April 20 at 8 a.m. through Saturday, April 22 at 5 p.m. to complete pavement repair corrections at each end of the bridge. During the closure, motorists will need to seek an alternate route.
