Boone County Route 163 to close Monday, April 10

Bonne Femme Creek Bridge to be replaced

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Missouri Route 163 Bonne Femme Creek Bridge, located just west of U.S. Route 63, is aging and in need of replacement. The structure was built in 1958, is in poor condition, and has weight and speed restrictions for vehicles using the bridge. Contractors from Widel, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to close Route 163 at the Bonne Femme Creek Bridge, on Monday, April 10, in order to replace the bridge with a new structure that will bring it up to current standards and remove the restrictions.

The bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed on or before Aug. 4, 2023. During the project, traffic will be directed around the closure on a signed detour over Route 163 (Providence Road), Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) and U.S. Route 63.
