WILLOW SPRINGS – Contractor crews will soon begin work to improve Missouri Route 5 in Ozark County. The project includes replacing culverts, widening for rumble strips and resurface work from U.S. Route 160 in Gainesville, Missouri to the Arkansas State line. Motorists should anticipate a lane reduction with a 12-foot width restriction.
Weather permitting, work will be underway Monday, April 17 through Sunday, Oct. 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends as necessary.
As construction is underway, flaggers will be present, and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
