MoDOT to begin bridge washing operations at various river locations March 6

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting bridge washing operations at several locations in the St. Louis metro area over the Missouri River and the Meramec River. The work will start the week of March 6.

Weather permitting, crews will begin on the Route 370 bridge over the Missouri River between St. Charles and St. Louis counties. The following lane closures are planned:

  • March 6, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., one left lane closed on westbound Route 370.
  • March 7-8, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one left lane or one right lane closed on eastbound Route 370.
  • March 8-15, starting at 9 a.m., the right lane on westbound Route 370 will be closed around the clock. The shared use path on the westbound Route 370 bridge will also be closed during this work. The lane and shared use path are expected to reopen by 4 p.m. March 15.

Additional bridge washing is scheduled to occur on the I-64 Boone Bridge and the I-70 Blanchette Bridge over the Missouri River and the Route 21 bridge over the Meramec River. A schedule and list of lane closures will be released when work is set to begin at those locations.
