JACKSON COUNTY – Crews will be replacing a sign truss along westbound Interstate 70 at Walnut Street on Sunday, Feb. 26 beginning at 7 a.m. until approximately noon. These repairs will require a right lane closure along westbound I-70 starting at Charlotte Street to Walnut Street. The left lane will remain open during this time. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, leave early, and considerate alternate routes as there may be delays in the area. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
