ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Lewis Road under I-44 to get between Bussen Quarry Road and the North Outer Road in south west St. Louis county should be aware the roadway will be reduced to one lane for a month, starting next week.
After morning rush on Monday, February 20, crews will close one lane on Lewis Road under the interstate to complete preventative maintenance on the interstate bridge over the roadway. The lane will remain closed around the clock until late March. One lane under the bridge will remain open. A signal will direct traffic between Bussen Quarry Road and the North Outer Road.
As an alternate detour, drivers can use Bussen Quarry Road and Beaumont-Antire Road to get onto I-44 in both directions.
