SIKESTON―The southbound Route 61 flyover bridge over Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, will be reduced to one lane with a 14-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge repairs. The flyover is located at mile marker 93.
Weather permitting, work will begin Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 7 a.m. and end Thursday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. The work zone will stay in place overnight.
Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
