ST. LOUIS – To help motorists travel around the state for the upcoming New Year’s holiday, the Missouri Department of Transportation will restrict most construction on interstates and state highways from noon on Friday, December 30 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, January 3. Restrictions will still be in place in areas where there are permanent barriers and if required, crews will close lanes for emergency maintenance.
The Route HH Bridge over Calvey Creek in Franklin County will close at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3 for demolition and new bridge construction.
A signed detour will be in place directing traffic to use Route N as an alternate route during construction.
The Route HH Bridge will remain closed to motorists in both north and south directions while the new bridge is being built.
MoDOT anticipates reopening the road and new bridge to traffic by May 29, 2023.
For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is subject to change and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
